True; moments later, a small raccoon skittered across their path, but what Mark mised was the dark froms behind them; true, it was not until the bandits had surrounded them on their horses and had drawn their knives, stepping from the shadows, that they realized they were in any real danger

Mark carefully got of the horse and said," Dara close your eyes this could get very bad." and to the thives he said," if anyone steps near the horses you will die a most brutal death." And with that he turned back to the horse.

try as she might, she could not close her eyes, and like a wolf pack, the sinister group lunged at them as one

Mark jumped at Dara just in time as the horse under her was cut and stabed by the confused attackers, "i told you you would all die..." Mark's eyes turned red as he drew his sword and charged the group. he cut one wide open, stabed another then trew his sword and pined another to a tree, then visiously lunged on to the others leaving 2 bite marks in there necks.

He retreved his sword and walked back to Dara, " im... im very sorry you had to see that." he said with blood trickling out of the cornes of his mouth."i gave them a very fair warning." he smiled slightly, "Are you okay?"

She stared at his mouth, terrified at the sight of blood there, and with a shudder and a sigh, she blacked out

Mark noticed his mouth and quickly wiped the blood away and jumped behind her to break her fall. Mark slowly lifted her and gentaly layed her down and covered her with his cloak. "Please wake up Dara... im sorry just wake up, there going to close the gates soon!" he said urgently.

She showed no sign of moving, her skin a bit cold from being out for so long; and truly, if they did not hurry, they would be locked out, and in more trouble than they could imagine
